One of the biggest trends this season is fringe, and thanks to the vast improvement in plus-size fashion you’re not forced to wait a year (or more) until you can rock it. Thankfully, you  can find it all over dresses, skirts, tops, and, of course, jackets. Many of my favorite brands are whipping out fabulous fringed fantasies, but my absolute favorite, gotta-have-it, on-the-top-of-my-wish-list, has got to be this gorgeous fringed jacket from Mynt 1792.

I zipped on this sumptuous sueded style and felt my inner bad ass squeal. A mix of rocker cool and superhero chic, I felt like I could fly away in a flourish of fringe if I just believed hard enough.

Obviously you can go full bad ass, and pair the jacket with sleek leather leggings and knee-high boots, but I went for a slightly tamer approach, with ripped-knee dark denim, a fall-approved plaid button-down and embellished booties.

Like a raven taking flight, every movement felt like a flurry of wings, making even the simplest gesture into a grand one.

This jacket may not be for the faint-of-heart (or the faint-of-fashion) — it’s a true statement piece, and since this season is all about the outerwear, it’s a statement that you can make daily. Because what is fashion for, besides personal expression? Make your sartorial voice heard….with fringe!
