Fancy Schmancy.

When I was young, I used to say “Fancy Schmancy” to describe things I thought were very, well, fancy. My Mother later explained to me that it really means that someone is putting on airs, and isn’t really a compliment you’d give if you really felt something was unpretentiously “fancy.” But I’m titling this outfit “Fancy Schmancy,” so interpret that as you will.

Between the book clutch, the rose gold & black suede cap toe pumps, the scarf print shirt and the black maxi skirt, this outfit embodies what I would wear to a “Fancy Schmancy” event.
